General Introduction

• A1 provides basic language skills for beginners
• Basic knowledge of the German language to understand everyday conversation
• A1 is a fundamental level for building a foundation of language knowledge
• Target to be achieved for level A1 according to CEFR

Listening skills

• Understand familiar, simple sentences about individuals, families, and regular communication.

Reading Comprehension skills

• Understand and use commonly used expressions and basic phrases

Speaking skills

• Be able to introduce themself and others and ask other people questions – e.g., where they live, what kinds of things they have, or what type of people they know. They also can respond to questions of this type as well.
• Be able to speak their newly learned language with more confidence and emphasis.

Writing skills

• Write simple notes, messages, emails, postcards, and fill out forms.
